Start Bike to Work Day off right: with a healthy, fun, non-polluting group ride downtown and breakfast gathering in the park!

Morning Gathering

Meet fellow riders and co-workers at the City Side Garden, (at the corner of Ontario St. and Huron Rd.,) any time between 7am and 10am: for free breakfast treats and Phoenix Coffee -- and cycling freebies for the first 100!

At the morning gathering you'll have a chance to chat and hang out, learn about cycling resources and opportunities in Northeast Ohio, and visit the future home of the BIKE RACK, Cleveland's first bike station, right around the corner -- offering secure bicycle parking, showers, and lockers, (construction begins later this year.)

Group Rides Going Downtown

Join other riders at neighborhood coffeeshops for group rides heading downtown:

West side

East side

  • Dewey's Coffee Shop (Shaker Square on Cleveland's eastside, starting at 7:00 AM)
  • Starbucks Coffee (12405 Cedar Rd, in Cleveland Heights, approximately 7:15 AM)
  • The Coffee House at University Circle  (used to be Arabica: 13000 Juniper Rd in University Circle, Cleveland, approximately 7:25 AM)

Need to shower before work? The Downtown YMCA is providing complimentary showers. Bring a lock for your temporary locker.

After work: join the cycling celebration with food and drink discounts at the Bike To Work Evening Social on East 4th Street.

Join Us For Bike to Work Day!

Our experienced ride leaders will start at two convenient east and west side locations, with frequent stops to add additional riders. It's like a bus route, only you provide the power and fun!

While some riders will be arriving downtown as early as 7:00 AM (and if that's your schedule, please feel free to arrive at City Side Garden on your own at that time), but the group rides will aim to arrive downtown at 8:00 AM.

Your neighborhood coffee shops provide convenient starting points. See above for the schedule.

Be your own renewable fuel: just add water -- or maybe Phoenix Coffee or a pastry at the gathering at Cleveland's City Side Garden...

Save your gas money – Who needs it more, you or Exxon, BP, Saudi Arabia or Venezuela?

Be active and get fit!
